A Tribute To Moses

Writer: John BostJohn Bost

As I read through Genesis, now after scores of times and as a wannabe writer myself, I am amazed at how intelligent Moses must have been. Likely well educated by the Pharoah, and his recall and presentation of stories passed down through the ages is truly amazing.

I no longer view scripture as some direct dictation though often referred to as the Word of God. Whether you see it as actual history or valuable allegory, its hard to imagine an ancient nomad producing this piece of literature without some amount of outside inspiration!

When aligned with the knowledge base we now have and centuries of history to reflect upon, it truly deserves more than some occasional devotional cherry-picking!

God looked after Moses his entire life but didn’t allow him to enter the promise land

I have to laugh as you describe yourself a "wannabe writer". I'll do as you did unto me 14 years ago. I'm shaking your shoulders and shouting "Look at yourself"....you're there! (Evidence is even found in today's challenge/post)
