God Still Speaks!

Hebrews 11, is my favorite as you may sense given my endless paraphrasing this a.m. and blog posts this week.

Hebrews 11:16 is my life verse, paraphrased by the Lord and spoken to me in an undeniably audible voice on Hillside Drive, Lexington, NC in 1978. Yes, I said that!

"Wherever I send you, seek that city, if not this one (Lexington), the next. I will give you a city."

Hardly did I suspect that I would one day be more mayor, community developer than pastor!

"People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."

Hebrews 11:14‭-‬16 NIV

Where is God taking you in your city?
