Just Say'n!

As I read this morning, it occurs to me just how far from the Book we have strayed in demonstrating "divine power" as believers, and as well the institution of church. With that, comes the loss of true spiritual influence, even perhaps the institution's sustainability. Just thinking out loud on a snowy morning during a critical moment on our history.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV

"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

According to recent Gallup data, around 30% of Americans regularly attend religious services, with 21% reporting they attend every week and 9% saying they attend almost every week; meaning only about a third of Americans attend church on a regular basis.

Key points about church attendance in the US:

Regular attendance: 30%

Weekly attendance: 21%

Almost weekly attendance: 9%

Monthly attendance: 11%

Seldom or never attend: 56%
