Just Show Up

I was reminded of a phrase as I read this morning, "JUST SHOW UP!" These simple words have often encouraged my heart in moments when had I not shown up, my life impact would have been lessened.

"And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive."‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭20:6‭-‬7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

"JUST SHOW UP!" has been a truism in my life since my early teens.

Sure, I have made assumptions that didn't pan out, suffered set backs precipitated by weak moments, been temporarily thrown off by the actions of others, that's life! You simply get back up and show back up!

How do you know where? You were designed for discernment, your very gut is wired to communicate with your heart and head. Quieten yourself and you'll hear it.

Yes, this sounds mystical, spiritual and it is, but so are you. Religion will tell you that you are not enough, meanwhile your gut is telling you that you were "made for more!" Maybe religion is a grace provided as means to remind you of that? The problem is it often comes with limiting stereotypes that can shift the "who" that your were called to be!

This life is not something you have to be "special" to benefit from. You were crafted in your mother's womb for exactly who are! Showing up often provides a distilling process that heightens your discernment.

When I read these verses, I thought of times when as a less than athletic child, I was passed over or chosen last to be on a team. I remember that discouraging feeling, however, I would show up again. The reality was that I was learning who I was, to whom I mattered and, what I was not designed to be.

The people Jesus referred to above, weren't chosen at all! Still, he said just go to the "vineyard" anyway and labor as if you were chosen!

You don't have to be chosen, just show up, showout and providence will reward you. I am proof of that!

Legacy is first launched when you simply show up!
